After 8 years serving with the British Diplomatic Service, Sophie succumbed to her passion for wine and then completed the OIV International Diploma in Marketing, Management and Finance in the Wine and Spirits Sectors. Sophie founded Taste-In in 2006 in partnership with John Stimpfig and has since gained significant experience in organising and managing bespoke wine-related events of all sizes and formats throughout Europe.
John has been writing about wine for over 20 years for a number of titles including The Financial Times, The Sunday Times, The Observer and Decanter. He is currently Contributing Editor to Decanter and the FT’s How To Spend It Magazine. He has won many prestigious wine writing accolades including international awards from Lanson, Glenfiddich and Louis Roederer. In 2010 he was named Louis Roederer International Wine Feature Writer of the Year.
